The Fable of The King Crab
There was a young man walking along the sea shore collecting crabs. One by one he selected of the finest crabs upon the shores of the rocky sea shores. One by one he put individual crabs into a deep bucket. The God of the ocean, even Poseidon found favor with the young Patreon and gave favor unto the young lad. The young boy was a sea farer and his family wandered of the sea. Unto the ocean gave they honor and respect. The ocean was their life blood. Unto this patreon he gave a bountiful supple of crabs.
One by one, the young patreon gathered crabs until the bounty of his harvest-the cup or bucket-brimming upon capacity.
The young Patreon and went unto his Father and said-I have collected harvest that we may eat throughout winter.
Patreon: “Father these crabs are fat and lofty-full of meaty flesh-“wherewith shall we eat?”
Father: “Pat, put the bucket near the fire. For God giveth unto us what we mayest eat.”
The crabs in the bucket, in nature-called crab syndrome-toppled each other to escape the bucket…
Consumed by their desire to escape…
Until there was One:
As the season ascended:
The Father said unto the Patreon:
“How many crabs are left for we depart hence?”
Patreon: “One father.” We are on our last one.
Father: “Poseidon has been most gracious as the seas have calmed and we must set sail unto the Land of Promise. Take the Last Crab in the bucket and return him to shores to which ye have found him, as an offering of gratitude to Poseidon for his supplication throughout our thirst and hunger. For no longer do we hunger or are in need of flesh.”
